It’s been mostly a quiet holiday, staying at home. I’m not really into typing up a whole long entry about the first week right now, but here goes the interesting bits:
On Thursday a few of us from Youth went to watch Rush Hour 3 after the Kids Church Jam session, which went… I guess the best that could be said about it is OK. I finally tried Bubble Cup, which is awesomely yummy and spent some time in Timezone/Intencity.
Shuann, Sammi and I also went to find B’s birthday present, but it’s all hush hush on that for now! The most I can say on that without giving too much away is that Sammi also made an awesome card with all it’s awesomeness to go with the gift(s) (Another clue!)
On Saturday Sarah and I had a invitation to Shuway’s party making frenzy. We worked long and hard and came up with some awesomely great invites. Aunty Wai Heng gotus some lunch (awesome noodles) which was awesome of her!
On Sunday we had another movie at 4.15 pm (Hairspray) and church lunch. So Sarah, Ben and I gave out the invites and most of the Youth hung around til about 4 for the movie. We were talking a lot about the party, and what to wear (the theme was school) So far, I think there’s a Science teacher, maths geek, Melbourne High Students, Prom Queen, Cheerleader and punk kid.
The movie was pretty good. Christiana and I messed around in Intencity again for a while, winning a poopy cow and a snooker ball keyring (Christiana) and a Sticky Hand and jackjack toy (me). Ray was with us as well. Samhu joined us a few minutes later. As far as I knew, Eugene and Bryan finally left the shooty-game they were playing and half the people disappeared. Later, Rachel bought us some Choc Top IceCreams and Jon reappeared with 2 different drinks.
Tomorrow we’re having the Junior High Barbeque and it looks like it’s going to be pretty good. Can’t wait!
